Padre Pio

Padre Pio of Pietrelcina (1887-1968) was a humble Italian priest and Capuchin monk, who came into this life with a particular mission—to draw souls back to Christ and, by his example, instill faith in others in an age of skepticism and unbelief. He was controversial in the sense that he transcended the spiritual mediocrity of his times and lived one-pointedly to do God’s will in spite of the persecutions he suffered at the hands of the Church and his fellow monks.
